Visual artist and all-around “maker of things”, Kevin Deck is an inspired creative whose talents promote human interaction and connectedness.

His relentless pursuit of creative and design excellence has shaped the daily life of thousands of people, particularly in his role as a senior design architect and principal for SFCS in Roanoke, VA.  Kevin’s expertise combines more than 35 years of experience in functional design with a commitment to presenting life’s beauty with surprise and curiosity. 

His perspective is deeply connected to the pulse of life’s most resonant themes, inspiring visual conversations that transcend colloquial ambiguities and form realizations of meaning, beauty and purpose from unexpected places.

Kevin Deck’s most recent body of work encompasses transparent watercolor with a mix of pen and ink washes. The figurative work includes natural and urban landscapes, regional subjects, and work inspired by travel. His abstracts spring from compositions found in completed works or photography.  

Beyond it’s graphic nature, this body of work is a mechanism to move people, and touch their senses and emotions through beauty unobservable with the naked eye.

Kevin Deck often opens his home studio and gallery in Roanoke, Virginia to the public. He loves getting to know customers and supporting the art community. Kevin recently joined The Loft Gallery at Black Dog Salvage at 902 13th St near the Grandin Village in Roanoke, VA. He is also a member artist at Market Gallery in a newly-renovated space at 22 Campbell Ave in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. MG is a co-op of over 35 regional artists exhibiting original paintings, sculpture, ceramics and photography.
